Great Seattle restaurants:

  • Poppy -- Indian fusion, outstanding value, super-hip. I generally order the vegetarian thali. Capitol Hill neighbouhood, very near downtown. Reservations recommended, however you may be able to get a walk-in spot in the bar.
  • La Carta de Oaxaca -- bang-on perfect Mexican food, Ballard neighbourhood. Always a crowd, you'll likely have to wait. The mole negro is decadent.
